It added, based on various past planning studies, MMR regional plan has incorporated vital costal link from western side of Dahisar to Bhayander. Both local bodies have made suitable provisions in their respective Development plans for the said connectivity.
However due to engineering challenges the link remained unconstructed.
The proposed road is elevated structure having length of 5 Km. Road length in BMC jurisdiction is 1.5 km whereas 3.5 km road lies in MBCM jurisdiction.

The alignment passes through Mangroves and Dahisar creek areas, through salt pan lands. There are several environment considerations are taken in to engineering concepts, optimized design and estimates in order to minimize environmental damage but maximum benefit to citizens.
The signal free multi-level road interchanges are proposed on both sides to avoid traffic congestions. Provisions having been kept for linking with future Costal road development
In order to efficiently use spaces between the project will have multi-level seven story mechanized parking lots and bus terminal is proposed basement to create multi model transport hub with adjoin metro station. There shall 550 parking spaces available for commuters.
