Cyclone Tauktae uprooted a tree, which fell on an old woman and killed her
A senior citizen was killed on Monday when a tree knocked down by the cyclonic storm fell on her house at Mira Road.
The 75-year-old woman was alone at home when the incident happened. While her two grandsons aged nine and 10 years were playing outside, her son and daughter-in-law were at work, according to the local residents.

Mira Road fire bridge officer told mid-day, "Late on Monday, due to strong winds, a tree fell on a house at Mashacha Pada, Kashimira. We rushed to the spot and removed the tree to find Laxmi Chandar Gaikwad. We rushed her to hospital, but she was declared dead before admission in the hospital."
