Two people were injured after Mumbai on Monday witnessed rains followed after a storm and gusty winds in the city and its adjoining areas leading to an under-construction metal parking tower to collapse on a road in Wadala area, an official said.
According to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), two people were injured in the incident who were rescued and later shifted to a hospital. Their condition is said to be stable.
The two injured persons were identified as Nafiq Juman Khan, 44 and Ramesh Mane, 42.
The civic body said that the incident occurred at Barkat Ali Naka on the busy Wadala- Antop Hill Road in Mumbai.

"Entire metal/steel parking near the Shree Ji tower collapsed on the nearby roadside parked 08 to 10 vehicles, thereby 01 person trapped inside car, rescue operation of said trapped person in progress by MFB," tan official said.
Meanwhile, a video of the incident went viral on social media platforms. The video shows that a multi-storey metal parking tower coming crashing down on the busy road amid winds.
Meanwhile, in an another incident, atleast 10 people were injured after shed at a petrol pump in Ghatkopar suddenly collapsed amid dust storm and rains in Mumbai, the BMC said on Monday.
The civic body said that a distressing incident took place at the Petrol Pump in Police Ground at the busy Eastern Express Highway in Ghatkopar East, as a shed collapsed. In the incident several people were trapped beneath the debris and their rescue operation was underway.
The officials said that a major mishap took place at the BPCL petrol pump, opposite Adani project in Pantnagar area of Ghatkopar. More than 10 patients were brought to Rajawadi Municipal Hospital in Ghatkopar (E) with head and multiple injuries.
A senior doctor at the hospital confirmed the same and said they were making arrangements in the casualty and trauma unit, as they are anticipating equal no of patients, to be brought in.
Those injured are being treated by a team of doctors.
Preliminary enquries reveal that gusty winds and heavy rain on Monday May 13, that lashed many parts of the MMR region including Mumbai suburbs had led to a huge hoarding collapse and it fell on the roof of BPCL petrol pump, resulting in the mishap. Police and rescue operations are underway to pull out the injured and clear the debris.
The BMC said that after receiving the information, the civic officials and the Mumbai Fire Brigade rushed to the spot and promptly responded to the incident.
The Mumbai Fire Brigade, local police personnel, and 108 Ambulance services were deployed to aid in the search and rescue operation.
