The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has informed that water supply in Bhandup West will be affected starting on Thursday, January 24 due to repair work of the pipeline. The BMC said that the water department will take around 12 hours to complete the work. The water supply would to be affected till then.
The areas in Bhandup West which will face water supply issues are mostly the hilly areas. The areas including Srirampada, Tulshetpada, Waghobawadi, Ramnagar, Tanajewadi, Rawate Compound, Trimurti Nagar, Shivaji Nagar, Nardas Nagar, Tembhipada, Sai Hill, Sai Vihar, parts of Sonapur, Khindipada, Gaon Devi Road, Gaon Devi Hill, Maroda Hill, Ganesh Nagar and Sarvodaya Nagarwill be affected.

Also water supply from Bhandup Reservoir, Ramabai Nagar Pumping, Mahatma Phule Nagar Pumping Supply and Asphalt Company will also be impacted due to the repair work.
The BMC has appealed the citizens to use the water sparingly.

According to the information provided by BMC's water department, on Thursday a leakage started from 1,800 mm Tansa pipeline near Shriram pada. Due to this, water department undertook urgent repair work and the water supply was reduced.
