Repair work completed by BMC
The water supply in Andheri West's Lokhandwala complex, Millat Nagar areas was restored on Thursday after the BMC staff completed the pipeline repair work.
According to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), the water supply has been restored after completing the repair work in the Andheri West area. The restoration work was completed in eight hours, informed BMC.
On Wednesday, a 1,200 mm diameter water pipeline in front of Twinkle Apartment, near Oshiwara burst around 3:00 pm, which caused a massive wastage of water.
The civic body took up the work of repairing the water channel on Wednesday afternoon.
"The repair work was completed at 11 pm on Wednesday night. Due to this on Thursday, August, 24, the water supply to Lokhandwala complex area, Millat Nagar, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Nagar, and MHADA was restored smoothly," informed the civic body.

"The water supply from the pipeline was stopped immediately. The work of repairing the pipeline was taken up on a war footing. A team of 15 people worked continuously for eight hours and completed the repair work," said the BMC in a release.
