Prime Minister Narendra Modi imposed a 21-day nationwide lockdown from March 25 to contain the spread of the ongoing Coronavirus outbreak. The lockdown led to people being confined to their homes, permitting only essential service personnel such as healthcare workers, municipal staff and the police officers to be out for work.
