The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Mumbai in an innovative campaign strategy by engaging with railway commuters on local trains to spread awareness about the INDIA alliance candidates.

AAP leaders chose to distribute pamphlets during train journeys on local trains to directly reach a large section of the city's population.

The campaign also highlighted the issue of railway safety, emphasising that the railway system falls under the jurisdiction of the Central Government, thereby linking local concerns with national governance.

AAP leaders said that the statistics of railway accidents in Mumbai are alarming, aiming to raise awareness about the need for improved safety measures and accountability within the railway infrastructure.

The campaign coincided with Arvind Kejriwal's release from jail, which energised supporters and bolstered the party's resolve to challenge what they perceived as authoritarianism under the Modi government.

Preeti Sharma Menon, Mumbai President of AAP, expressed confidence in the support garnered from the masses, believing it will play a crucial role in securing victory for INDIA alliance candidates in Mumbai.

Ruben Mascarenhas, Mumbai Working President of AAP, highlighted the overwhelming response from the people of Mumbai.

AAP volunteers actively participated in the campaign by distributing pamphlets and urging commuters to vote for candidates from Shiv Sena (UBT), Congress, and NCP(SP).
