Deputy Chairman of Maharashtra Vidhan Parishad (Legislative Council) Neelam Gorhe officially joined Shiv Sena in the presence of Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde and Maharashtra Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis

Gorhe said she has joined the official Shiv Sena. “Shiv Sena is heading in the right direction under the able leadership of Eknath Shinde,” adding, “I have decided to join Shiv Sena keeping in mind the women’s issues and overall development of the state and country”

While speaking on the occasion, Eknath Shinde said it is a historic moment

“Everyone is seeing the work we do, and this is why our Sena is getting stronger and people keep joining. Neelam Gorhe will be able to work freely with all her heart for women. She is not defecting anywhere but is joining the original Sena,” said the Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde

Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis said Sena-BJP follows the same thought process. “I personally wanted to remain present for the induction and welcome her into the alliance. She has taken a rational decision,” he said
