In a guidelineu00a0 issued on March 29, Dr Prabhudev, the vice-chancellor of BU, transferred the authority vested in the the registrar and registrar (evaluation) to their deputies.
Also, Dr Prabhudev accused the registrar and registrar (evaluation) of erecting hurdles in the way of improvements he wanted to bring in the functioning of the varsity.
"There were instances of malpractice in assessment of answer sheets, which is a major cause of concern. Hence, I decided to set the system right, which is also permissible under law," said Dr Prabhudev.
Dr Prabhudev says he wants to ensure students don't have to wait for months for their results. |
BU Results on Time? |
Dr Prabhudev has asked the registrar and registrar (evaluation) to clear all university orders, especially the ones pertaining to evaluation of answer sheets, in 72 hours. If they fail to do so, the deputy registrar will issue the orders instead. "This was necessary to speed up the execution, otherwise it takes months to announce the results," said Dru00a0 Prabhudev. |
