His planu00a0to show the Seven Wonders of the World in Kannada film Cheluveye Ninna Nodalu having hit a stumbling block because of Chinese reservations over shooting at the Great Wall, director Raghuram has now set his sights on the Burj Dubai, the world's tallest building that opened over the weekend with the new name of Burj Khalifa.

The movie is almost complete, with filming at six of the Seven Wonders of the World already accomplished. Only a portion of a song has been delayed, what with Raghuram not getting permission to shoot at the Great Wall of China.

"The authorities' restrictions on shooting at the Great Wall are jeopardising our plans. What we want to shoot is a song portion along the Great Wall. The authorities are particularly not allowing the shooting of romantic scenes and action sequences along the Great Wall," said director Raghuram.

Tall wonder

So Raghuram has decided to introduce to the world a wonder of his own choice, and it most likely will be the 828 metres (2,717 feet) Burj.

"I have promised Kannada audiences that I will showcase the Seven Wonders of the World in my movie. So I even chalked up an alternative plan to go to Cambodia, but when everybody has been talking about this Burj Dubai's huge dimensions, why not go ahead and use it as an opportunity to showcase this wonder," said the director. "I am discussing this with my producer."

Good publicity

"I was thrilled with Burj Dubai's architecture when I read about it in newspapers and websites. If I go to shoot there, the movie will get good publicity and we will be the first film crew to shoot there," said Raghuram. "I hope the total four-hour shoot is completed in a day next month."

Producer N M Suresh said, "As producer I am ready to fulfil the film's requirements and complete the remaining portion of shooting. And if shooting at the Burj will create history, then we shall go for it."
