When you encounter a shop with a name like Curiosity Arts and Crafts, you are bound to be a bit curious about what's on offer. And when when you step in, you may just feel as as if you have stepped into Alibaba's cave.

Curiosity Arts and Crafts (previously known as Contemporary Arts and Crafts) offers an exclusive collection of artefacts crafted by artisans from all over India.

Range: You will find something to decorate every nook and corner of your home. The spread of artefacts, cutlery and showpieces are neatly arranged on wooden shelves on the lower level while furnishings are kept on the upper loft.

Check out their contemporary showpieces which includes glitter diyas, lampshades, lanterns, wooden tables, hammocks and wall hangings. They also have pillows, bolsters, table mat sets with rings, tablecloths and napkins in earthy colors with intricate embroidery and gold imprints. Do not forget to browse through their antique and junk jewellery, which includes earrings, bracelets and anklets that use beads, buttons, lace and brass.

If you prefer traditional artefacts, go for clay and ceramic earthenware tea-sets, mother-of-pearl dinner sets, handmade paper trays and coasters with captivating colours for the pastoral appeal.

The shop has a varied gift collection with interesting frames in glitter finish, ceramic, lacquer work, radiant steel and wooden. They also have a wide range of aromatic candles and incense sticks along with scented candles with orange, sandalwood and lavender variants.

USP: There is a section dedicated to the orphanage Disha. The products here are from the orphanage and the entire proceeds go for the welfare of children living there. You can take your pick from some hand-made pouches, napkins, napkin rings and much more.

We liked: A curio carved out of a single camel bone (Rs 7,200) and a beautiful piece of art from Rajasthan depicting a herd of elephants crossing a bridge in a queue. The wooden Tic Tac Toe (Rs 280), with the brightly-coloured grids, made us want to play. We loved the metal and wooden cat (Rs 1,080), which is an ideal show piece and also check out the antique lantern (Rs 500) in wrought-iron and frosted glass, which will surely lend an antique look to your home.u00a0
