The Guide caught up with DJ Kliment Dichev, producer and musician from Bulgaria who is a great lover of nature
Bulgarian DJ Kliment Dichev
Electronic Dance Music (EDM) has evolved but has a long way to go in India. Have you listened to Indian musicians?
I come from a country, which is exactly in between India and the West, so we also have some way to go. India is now more and more open to the electronic scene as many international artists come here to perform. Great artists such as Tatva Kundalini and Deva make the Indian Ocean tremble. I respect them for the effort they put in promoting music in India.
Tell us about the solo and group projects you are working on currently.
I am pursuing three directions of artistic development, two of them under the name of Kliment (featuring progressive/minimal and downtempo tracks). The third solo project is a little uptempo, called Once Upon a Time and features psychedelic dance floor songs.
What can we look forward to at your upcoming show?
It's going to be a flow of progressive and trance music. There will be surprises but I'd rather not reveal them now.
When you are not performing, what do you like to do the most?
I like playing the piano. I am a lover of nature, so mountain trips is something I can't live without.
