Ten years after the Ghatkopar bomb blast that rocked the city, Mumbai crime branch arrested one of its accused, Siddique Tajul Eslaam Kaji Aminuddin, from Hyderabad on November 21.
The accused was brought to Mumbai and produced in court on Friday and has been remanded to police custody till December 3.
Crime branch officials said that Siddique was living had been living under an assumed name of Siddique Taj Kaji in Hyderabad soon after he fled from the city.
Even after his arrest in Hyderabad, the accused refused to identify himself with his real name.
Two persons were killed and 28 were injured on 2 December 2002 in a blast in a BEST bus, which was parked outside Ghatkopar Station. Eight persons who were involved in the blast were arrested back in 2005 and were discharged from the case, for which further appeal was made in the High Court.u00a0
