Innovation is key. No, fat-free innovation is key. Key to entice crowds in the age of size zero, without hugely compromising on taste. After regular industrial ice cream, it was time for the Gelato to gloat and bask in the foodie's limelight. Now the health food trajectory gets an upward shift, as dietary staple gets a dessert transformation. A rage in the US, Cocoberry churns out fruit-flavoured yoghurt with a variety of toppings in the form of diet dessert (if you can call it so). You can choose from Blueberry, Strawberry and Mango flavours, or simply go for the original yoghurt. You can ask for a sample of the flavour, if you are unsure of what you want.

Enjoy them as it is, or spruce it up with a topping or a mix of three toppings sliced almonds, crushed walnuts, Oreo cookies, muesli, fresh fruits like mango, kiwi and musk melon, chocolate sprinkles, blueberry sauce, honey and Gummy Bears. We went for the Blueberry with Oreo, cereal and Blueberry sauce (Rs 89) and a Mango with fresh mango pieces, honey and blueberry sauce (Rs 89). Both were refreshing and had distinctive flavours. The joint also whips up Pita sandwiches, smoothies, fresh fruit plates and beverages. The Non-veg Pita Grill Sandwich (Rs 169) comprised a mix of cheese, capsicum, onions (a little too much of it) with mutton/chicken pieces.

The pricing seems a little steep, especially the sandwiches that cost Rs 145 and Rs 169. If the yoghurt was priced a little reasonably, it could well become a breakfast fad with professionals around the area. We could already see workout junkies from across the joint at Gold's Gym, walk in, grab a scoop of yoghurt and march out, energised and feeling healthy.
