Three men wearing helmets loot bank in east Delhi; escape with Rs 7 lakh
If it wasn't a real robbery, the sight of three men wearing helmets inside a bank could have raised a few hearty laughs.
But on Tuesday, in a scene that seemed a direct lift from the Akshay Kumar, Sunil Shetty and Paresh Rawal act in Hera Pheri, three men with their faces hidden inside biker's helmets robbed a bank in east Delhi, fleeing with around Rs 7 lakh cash.

Cops blame bank
Meanwhile, cops said despite guidelines and directives issued by them, the bank did not have a security camera, which could have helped identify the robbers. "The bank is located at an isolated spot and the robbers were aware there would not be much activity in the afternoon. They had come prepared and the robbery was over in few minutes. There was no security camera so there is no recording of the incident. We are investigating all angles," said a police official involved in the investigation.
The Delhi police also said they were coordinating with their counterparts in Uttar Pradesh as the bank is located near the Delhi-UPu00a0border. "It does not look like the handiwork of a professional gang. Criminals from neighbouring villages could be involved," said the senior cop, wishing anonymity.
