At Hyatt Regency's popular Italian restaurant La Piazza, life just got better! The restaurant is offering a selection of liquid desserts to spoil you silly.
The dessert platter includes five choices the cloudy-soft tiramisu, a shot of liquid Javanese chocolate, an orange and raspberry jelly, frozen espresso and the heavenly cognac-spiked fresh cherries.
As expected, the Italian tiramisu is dreamy. Sink your spoon to the bottom of the conical glass to scoop up all the layers of the dessert at one go and savour the mascarpone cheese, the cocoa, the strong coffee and the subtle cognac.

The single origin liquid Javanese chocolate takes comfort food to an exotic level. Drown the bitter chocolate with a tinge of cognac at one go or sip it and roll it in your mouth to let the thick, liquid texture take over your senses. Can be slightly bitter though.
The lukewarm orange and raspberry jelly can be a delightful dessert on its own but loses steam when pitted against the grand dames. Try only if you can't do without it.
The frozen espresso is a treat for both coffee drinkers and those who don't like it much. Enjoy the icy espresso particles with no dilution of flavours.u00a0 The dessert comes with a dollop of anis cream but I liked it better without it.
The winner of the day, however, is the fresh fruit punch with Galliano liquor slices of juicy Californian cherries marinated in a strong cognac. After a lazy lunch, sit back and bite into the succulent cherries as the cognac gives you a pleasant high!
