Everyone seems to want a bit of Dan Brown, whose latest book The Lost Symbol is out today.
The publishers have put in place tight security to guard against leaks, and no one knew a thing about the plot till early this morning.
"We received 150-200 calls enquiring about the book," said Hasan, store manager, Crossword, Residency Road, last evening.
They have had approximately 100 bookings and have placed an order for 500 copies this week and 500 for the next, expecting good demand.
Likewise, Oxford Bookstore at The Leela Galleria has ordered 250 books and has had 50 bookings. Nataraj, merchandise manager, said, "With him being a famous author, there's sure to be demand."
Reliance TimeOut on Cunningham Road received its copies at 6.30 this morning.
