Missing name leaves Ramya angry, upset

Spunky actress, who has been exhorting youngsters to vote, spends three hours trying to vote, in vain

Kannada film actress Ramya is extremely angry and upset that she wasn't allowed to cast her vote this morning. Her name went missing from the voters' list in Sadashivnagar, which comes under Bangalore North constituency.
"I was really excited about this election. I reached the polling station at 11 am. But excitement turned to surprise and then to anger when I was told my name was missing from the voters' list. My mother's name is there but mine isn't. We live in the same house, so I can't believe something as daft as this could happen," she fumed.
Ramya said she spent close to three hours trying to trace her name. "I went from one polling booth to another in the vicinity because the officials told me to try my luck everywhere! My name didn't figure in any voters' list. I can't believe how this could happen because I voted in the last elections," she said.
