A 42-year-old businessman was found murdered in Marathahalli, yesterday around 4 pm.


The victim, Surendra Kumar Dhoka, a ceiling-fan dealer and a resident of Shantinagar, was reportedly found by one of his workers in a pool of blood at his godown in Marathahalli.

The police said the body bore deep wounds in the neck and stomach. The throat had been slit open, while stab wounds were found on the stomach and back.

Deputy commissioner of police (south east) B N S Reddy visited the spot.

Sniffer dogs were pressed into service and the police are questioning the worker who found the body.
