Police claims Sandeep Chitania planned to disguise as a woman to kill his next target, a VIP in Haryana
Sandeep Chitania, a dreaded contract killer wanted for five murders and several extortion bids, was all set to do what Shah Rukh Khan did in 'Duplicate'.
Chitania was planning to disguise as a woman to take out a high profile target in Haryana after the latter was given security by the police.
The killer carried a reward of Rs 50,000 on his head and was arrested after a gunfight at a flat in the densely populated Sector 25 Rohini in northwest Delhi.

The police is still investigating under whose name the flat was registered but it is suspected that one of Chitania's accomplices who ran a property dealing shop beneath the flat was the real owner. The real estate agent has gone absconding. Chitania entered the crime world in 2003 by way of property business. He drives his surname from his native village Chitania in Haryana.
His crime career saw almost a meteoric rise, as he was ruthless and clinical in eliminating his targets.
"Once he shot down two people over a brief altercation at a musical programme in November 2008," Joint Commissioner of Police (northern range) Karnal Singh said.
The contract killer also shot dead a man in Murthal Haryana after the victim failed to cough up an extortion amount of Rs 5,00,000
"Chitania is a dreaded killer for hire. He has no other profession," Singh said.
Both the Haryana and Delhi Police wanted him for his involvement in the murder of Satyapal Singh in Vasant Vihar area, double murder in Delhi's Aman Vihar in November last year and a double murder in Hisar on June 25.
On a tip-off that Chitania used to visit the place often, a team of 12 policemen laid a trap at the double-storeyed building in pocket 10 of Sector-25 Rohini around 9.30 am.
"Our men fired some shots in the air. We broke open the door, but he locked himself in one of the two rooms on the floor. We broke open the doors again with iron cutters and found Chitania hiding in the washroom," Singh said. Chitania's gang had five members. The police is now on the lookout for the rest of them and is also hot on the chase of the real estate agent who gave him shelter.u00a0 A 9 mm pistol and 37 cartridges were seized from him.
