It was a rented car
Haris had rented out the SUV to Nasir and his hand-picked associates, found the police. In a joint investigation with the Kerala police, the team found that Haris has links to Mohammed Yasin, from Kannur.
Yasin, along with three of his associates, was killed in an encounter with security forces at Kupwara in Jammu and Kashmir this September while they were allegedly trying to cross the border.
'Car already sold'
However, Haris reportedly told the police that he had already sold the car and it most likely has changed two to three hands by now.
