However, when he went to visit, he did not realise the chaos that would ensue.A scuffle broke out between Naidu's supporters and media people at the scene.Those media persons trying to make way to the disgraced corporator were allegedly manhandledu00a0 around 02.00 am by Naidu's supporters.
One of the reporters told MiD DAY that he was attacked and sustained injuries to his neck.Enraged by the situation, approximately six television crews drove straight to state cabinet minister R Ashok's home at
3 am.
The Minister expressed his disappointment with the incident and said, "I am sorry that such a thing has occurred. Nobody should try and stop reporters from doing their jobs."
He added, "When I meet the Chief Minister today I will take up this issue with him. I don't think this was right at all. Those who broke the law and abused the reporters will be found."
