Pilot ProjectThe Ministry of external Affairs in Delhi had given the contract to Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) for front office work, and Bangalore setup was the 'chosen one'. The project has been fruitful since its inception a year ago and the process has helped in clearing backlogs. Currently, these centres give appointments to 3215 members each day. In addition, regional passport centers will now come up in Tamil Nadu on a tie-up with TCS.
