The annual football extravaganza Shakti Sports Corporate Soccer Carnival (CSC) is now in its second year.
Concept: The event is organised by Savio Roy D'Souza, who heads Braincell Concepts. While watching Premier League football in London, he got the idea of starting this event to carry forward the tradition of soccer in Pune. The tournament takes place only over weekends and encourages both men and women to participate.
Format: The matches are a day-and-night affair. The top four teams play for the Champions Cup, while the next four teams play for the Super Cup. Around 30 companies have already registered for the event, including Infosys and Wipro. There are added attractions like the Food Court and the recreation area. Some amount will be put aside for sponsoring needy football playing kids.u00a0
