Director Prem sticks to his guns as scribes accuse him of glorifying crime with 'Legend of underworld' tagline for superhit film Jogi's sequel
Jogaiah, a sequel to the superhit film Jogi, has invited flak from some quarters for its director Prem, and not because of what may be in the movie. The problem is the film's tagline.
'The legend of underworld' is the tagline, and it irked film journalists no end at a recent press conference held by the filmmakers.u00a0
Prem was ticked off by members of the Fourth Estate, who argued that the word 'legend' means a good personality, one who is immortal, but that he was using it to glorify an underworld don.

Director Prem and producer Rakshita Prem are adamant that there will be no change to the taglineu00a0Actor Shivarajkumar says will do a rethink |
The journalists informed him that it was not proper usage and it couldu00a0 even send the wrong message to society, especially affecting young and impressionable minds.
But Prem remained staunchly with the tagline.
"I have a clear view about the film's tagline and I am portraying the Jogaiah character as a legend. I don't want to comment about it till the film hits the screen," said Prem.
According to debutant producer Rakshita Prem, "Anybody can believe their own legend in their own way. My father is also a legend for me so how can you question my view?"
Commenting on the issue, actor Shivarajkumar said, "I don't think it is wrong to use this word for underworld don but we will once again think over it and take the right decision.

I am sure everyone can't accept all comments, but if it is a valid point, I am ready to ask Prem to cut short the tagline to just keep the 'The legend' part."
