Flamboyante, Cuffe Parade:We'd heard good things about Flamboyante at WTC, Cuffe Parade. So, on a Saturday evening, when a bunch of friends decided to drop in, we were nothing short of disappointed. We were crammed in a horribly-lit corner with one measly candle making up for "ambience". Our waiter had to stick his nose into his writing pad to see what order he was scribbling.
Things went rapidly downhill from there. We asked for water. We were told we had to order our drinks simultaneously so that the waiter could get it all in one go! A straw we asked for never arrived. The appetiser arrived at the end of the meal (thankfully, before the dessert). And our waiter did a Ghajini he couldn't remember if he had served everything we had ordered.
PS: The food wasn't bad, but the experience was. Why cram in customers when you can't handle weekend rush?
