A woman allegedly set herself afire along with her three children in Uttar Pradesh's Gonda district over some marital dispute following which all the four died, police said Tuesday.
Pinki Dubey (35) of Bhivpur village in Gonda, some 150 km from Lucknow, set herself ablaze along with her three children aged between 2 months and 5 years.
"It appears that marital discord is the main reason behind the incident. We are yet to trace Pinki's husband Vasudev Kumar for interrogation in the case," police inspector S.P. Singh told reporters in Gonda.
Police have detained some members of Kumar's family for questioning.
Locals told police that Kumar had a heated argument with Pinki early Tuesday and directed her to leave his place.
