A 13-year-old cancer patient, who fled his home with his mother rather than face chemotherapy, underwent a round of the treatment he feared on Thursday, after a court ordered him to do so.

order, order: Daniel Hauser and his mother Collen

The hospital where Daniel Hauser attended his second chemo session, however, refused to release any information about his condition.

The boy's parents, who resisted chemotherapy out of a preference for alternative treatments, faced legal consequences if they skipped the appointment.

The family had said an earlier round of chemo made Daniel, who suffers from Hodgkin's lymphoma, feel sick and hardened their resolve against further treatment.

However, a judge ordered the treatment anyway, prompting Daniel andu00a0 his mom Colleen Hauser to spend a week on the lam.

Earlier this week, the family agreed to accept chemo when doctors vowed to integrate natural treatments they favoured.
