Kings XI Punjab
BRETT LEE: His tear-away pace has troubled many batsmen and he will be the key to the side's success. Can also be very handy with the bat down the order.
YUVRAJ SINGH: One of the cleanest hitters of the ball, he can turn the match on its head in a matter of overs. His slow left arm bowling has also been very useful
KUMARA SANGAKKARA: He will captain the team this year and has the ability to lead from the front. Stylish and aggressive, he is also very accomplished behind the stumps.
YOUSUF ABDULLAH: He was one of the surprise packages of the first edition. His lively left-arm pace bowling can be instrumental in the team's success.
IRFAN PATHAN: One of the key member of the side who can win a match with bat and ball. His ability to bat anywhere in the order lends a lot of balance to the side.
MAHELA JAWAWARDENE: A more traditional batsman, he can turn things on once set and has all the shots in the book to make the bowling look mediocre.
SHAUN MARSH: His performances in the first edition led to a call-up in the Australian side. A stylish aggressive left-handed opener who knows how to pace the innings.
MOHAMMAD KAIF: Considered surplus by Rajasthan Royals for the third season, Kaif's a live wire in the field and has the ability to finish matches with the bat.
JAMES HOPES: A lively medium pace bowler who can take the new ball or bowl first change. Is also a very useful late middle order batsman capable of scoring quickly.
S. SREESANTH: On his day, there are not many who can bowl as well as Sreesanth does. If he can keep his temper in check, can play a vital role for his side.
PIYUSH CHAWLA: A leg spinner with many variations, his only drawback is that his leg spinner does not turn enough. Is also capable of hitting the ball hard.
KARAN GOEL: A talented left-handed opener, he was impressive in a few outing last season. Will have to be more consistent to leave an impact.
RAVI BOPARA: A steady right-handed batsman who has the ability to play big shots. Is looking to resurrect his England career with good performances in this IPL
RAMESH POWAR: A traditional off-spinner who is not afraid to flight the ball to get wickets. Has a good cricketing brain and is also useful wit the bat.
ADRIAN BARATH: His performances in the Champions League T20 in India last year made him a must-buy for this year's IPL. A right-handed opener, he is rated very highly in the West Indies and was recently picked for the Test squad
