AC Milan's out of favour Brazilian star Ronaldinho is set to sign for Brazilian giants Flamengo, after days of negotiations in his native Brazil, reports said last night.
The site R7 Esportes said 30-year-old Ronaldinho, part of the Brazil side that won the 2002 World Cup, was signing a three-and-a-half year contract with a monthly salary of nearly 900,000 dollars.
Two other Brazilian clubs who had been wooing Ronaldinho, Gremio and Palmeiras, said at the weekend they had called off negotiations in frustration with Assis, whom they claimed had agreed to deals before reneging and asking for more money.
