In Match 23 between Bangladesh and South Africa, Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium witnessed another South African heroic inning.
In match 20 of the ICC World Cup 2023 which was played between South Africa and England in Wankhede Stadium, Klaasen and Jansen duo destroyed England's bowling lineup. Heinrich Klaasen and Marco Jansen scored 109 runs and 75 runs for South Africa, respectively.
In match 23, Quinton de Kock opened the inning for South Africa and played with sensible strokes at the start as the team's situation demanded it from him. de Kock and skipper Aiden Markram stabilized South Africa's inning in the middle overs. Skipper scored 60 runs before getting into the hands of Liton Das.
Quinton took control from thereafter. He went on hitting huge sixes and extraordinary fours. He scored 174 runs in just 140 balls. Hasan Mahmud struck the wicket of the left-hander.

Quinton de Kock previously in the tournament scored two centuries and his third ton came against Bangladesh, today. With this, he registered the highest individual score in the ICC World Cup 2023 so far. He surpassed the Protea's legend Ab de Villiers in the list of the highest number of centuries by a wicketkeeper in a single ODI World Cup edition. He is now in the second spot in the list of wicket keepers scoring the most hundreds in a single World Cup edition. Sri Lanka's Kumar Sangakkara is first on the list with four World Cup tons.
Quinton de Kock scored the tournament's first century against Sri Lanka in the opening match for South Africa. He scored 100 runs in just 85 balls including 12 fours and 3 sixes.
He registered his second century against Australia in the 10th match of the ICC World Cup 2023. He smashed 109 runs in 106 deliveries including 8 fours and 5 sixes.
Today, the left hander displayed his exceptional batting skills by registering his their ton in the ICC World Cup 2023. He went on to score 174 runs in just 140 balls including 15 fours and 7 sixes.
