Axar Patel was born in January 1994 and is an Indian cricketer. He is an all-rounder representing the Gujarat cricket team in domestic cricket. He is a left-hand batsman and bowls slow left-arm orthodox spin.

Axar Patel signed up for IPL franchise Mumbai Indians in 2013 and then by Kings XI Punjab in 2014. In 2019, the Delhi Capitals (former Delhi Daredevils) bought him in the 2019 auction. Axar Patel made his international ODI debut on 15 June 2014 against Bangladesh. He was later selected in India's 15-man squad for 2015 Cricket World Cup held in Australia and New Zealand.

Axar Patel's family resides in Nadiad, Gujarat. He has an elder brother named Sanship Patel. He studied engineering at Dharmsinh Desai University.
