Fastest century by Indians in ODI World Cup

India's wicketkeeper-batsman KL Rahul tops the list of India players to hit the fastest ODI World Cup centuries. In the ICC World Cup 2023 clash between India and Netherlands at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Rahul played a knock of 102 runs in just 64 deliveries. His knock of 102 was laced by 11 fours and 4 sixes and played an important role in helping India set a target of 411 runs

The second name on the list is the Indian skipper Rohit Sharma. In the ICC World Cup 2023 match between India and Afghanistan, the right-hander smashed a century in 63 balls. Further, his innings ended for 131 runs in 84 balls laced including 16 fours and 5 sixes

Shreyas Iyer is the third-quickest Indian to score a century in ODI World Cup. His century came against New Zealand in the ICC World Cup 2023. He completed his century in 67 balls including 4 fours and 8 sixes. With this, the right-hander also became the first Indian batsman to hit 8 sixes in a World Cup innings

The fourth name on the list is of 1983 World Cup-winning captain Kapil Dev. In a 1983 World Cup match between India and Zimbabwe, Dev came in to bat when India was 17 runs for five wickets. Thereafter, he completed his century in 72 balls and stood unbeaten by smashing 175 runs in just 138 balls

Virender Sehwag is the fifth player on the list. He achieved his fastest ODI World Cup century against Bermuda in 2007. Sehwag smashed his fastest century in 81 deliveries and his innings ended for 114 runs in 87 balls laced by 17 fours and 3 sixes
