Today's clash between the Dutch and the Afghans will be played in Lucknow at Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium. The match will start at 2.00 PM. The Netherlands can still qualify for the semi-final of the ICC World Cup 2023 if they win all three matches and secure 10 points on the points table. But they also need to defend on the results of other matches. Similarly, Afghanistan can qualify for the semi-finals under the criteria of winning all three matches and depending on the results of other matches
So far, Afghanistan and Netherlands have faced each other in nine ODI matches out of which Afghans have won seven games and the Dutch have come victorious on just two occasions. Afghanistan has a clear chance to dominate over the Netherlands in today's clash
Afghanistan's batting top order seems to be dependable from their previous match's performances. Ibrahim Zadran, Rahmat Shah, skipper Hashmatullah Shahidi and Azmatullah Omarzai have performed exceptionally well to guide their team to seven-wickets win against Sri Lanka
The Dutch can also not be taken lightly as they have defeated the dangerous South African team and Bangladesh team, previously. The Netherlands will heavily rely on their skipper Scott Edwards to secure a win today against Afghanistan
