A high for Hutchinson in MiD DAY Corporate Soccer Championship

Rishi Pillai's brace saw Hutchinson Global Services defend their MiD DAY Corporate Soccer Championship title at the Western Railway Sports Ground, Lower Parel on Sunday. The telecom giants beat Serco Global Services ‘B' 2-0 in a fiercely contested final. Pillai's opening goal came in the first half off a pass from Maxie D'Silva from the right flank. Pillai then doubled the lead in the second session with a right-footed volley to seal the fate of the encounter.

Golden Boot
Though British Airways World Cargo lost their semi-final clash to Serco Global Services ‘B' 0-2, they had something to cheer about nevertheless. British Airways' striker Cleophas Fernandes, who scored 12 goals in the tournament, won the Golden Boot award - a prize cheque of Rs 20,000.

MiD DAY Infomedia Ltd's Managing Director & CEO Manajit Ghoshal gave away the prizes.

The winners Hutchinson Global Services walked away with a cheque of Rs 100,000, while runners-up Serco Global Services ‘B' were richer by
Rs 50,000.
