Ex-Gunner gets his revenge by scoring third goal in Manchester City's 4-2 win over Arsenal
Emmanuel Adebayor secured his revenge over Arsenal as Manchester City delivered a statement of intent with a 4-2 win over the striker's former club here on Saturday.
The 25-million-pound striker headed the crucial third goal for City 10 minutes from time and then sprinted the entire length of the field to celebrate provocatively in front of the Arsenal supporters.

Not surprisingly, that sparked a furious reaction and a chair was among the many items hurled onto the pitch by the visiting fans. Adebayor was booked for his celebration and further action could be taken.
City led from a lucky first half own-goal from Gunners' 'keeper Manuel Almunia but Arsenal drew level just after the hour when van Persie scored the equaliser. Then in the 74th minute, sent Micah Richards on his way into the Arsenal penalty area for the telling assist.
Adebayor's goal followed soon. In the 83rd minute, Wright-Phillips neatly lobbing the 'keeper. And with three minutes left, Tomas Rosicky got au00a0 consolation for Arsenal. Elsewhere, Chelsea's Ivory Coast striker Didier Drogba and Florent Malouda scored to beat Stoke City 2-1. Yossi Benayoun scored a hat-trick while Dirk Kuyt added a fourth goal s Liverpool beat Burnley 4-0. Ryan Giggs, Anderson and Rooney scored as Man United beat Tottenham 3-1.
