Greece captain Giorgos Karagounis has told his teammates to ignore pressure and have a good time at the World Cup
Greece captain Giorgos Karagounis has told his teammates to ignore pressure and "have a good time" at the World Cup.
Greece continue their build-up to the South Africa showpiece with a friendly against North Korea in Austria today with veteran midfielder Karagounis determined to make the most of mixing it with the world's best.
The Panathinaikos star said: "Let's go to the World Cup to have fun and have a good time. And then you try to get into the next phase. We will try to do everything possible (to make that happen)."
Karagounis also talked up the ability of Celtic striker Georgios Samaras but dismissed suggestions Otto Rehhagel's side relied too much on the 25-year-old.
"He is a good player but we have others. We have a good team, not relying on one player. Our strength is overall but Samaras is a good footballer."
Meanwhile, Cameroon will be without captain Samuel Eto'o when they take on Georgia in Lienz. The Inter Milan striker is being afforded a week-long rest after helping the Nerazzurri win the Champions League recently.u00a0
