Hispania Racing Team boss Colin Kolles has rubbished talk that the team won't be participating in the 2011 season. "We have two programmes going on simultaneously -- one for the 2010 season and the other for 2011," the team principal of HRT told MiD DAY on the phone from Germany. HRT is the team with which India's Karun Chandhok has secured a drive this season.

Kolles asserted that the team is not suffering from financial problem. "Yes, we are struggling with the performance of our cars. However, the team is not facing monetary problems," Kolles said of the team that made its Formula One debut this year along with Lotus and Virgin Racing.
When asked about the lack of spare parts at the recently concluded Monaco Grand Prix, Kolles explained that at the Spanish Grand Prix which was held a week before, the team had suffered damages to two front nose cone assemblies. "We don't have as many spares as Ferrari. The spare parts problem in Monaco was because of the short duration between the two races," he said.
Kolles said that he was not happy with the results so far and that the team was trying to improve performance.
"We are struggling for downforce. By Germany, we should be getting aerodynamic upgrades that would result in big improvement."
When asked about Karun's performance so far, Colles said that he was doing a good job. "He has done well for a rookie. Had it not been for Jarno Trulli's mistake, Karun would have finished in a respectable 13th place," he said.
