Not all babies like toys, is the premise behind what could be the first board game for a pre-schooler

Not all kids like toys. Some like games, believes Rajat Dhariwal, 32, who is about to launch a board game for kids between two and four. It's a launch that's born out of research, says the man behind Madrats Games. "When talking to younger kids, we noticed how they had no games to play with.
Most of them only had toys," recalls the Bangalore-based entrepreneur. Mothers confided in him about finding it tough to find a tool that would keep them busy. The feedback stuck with Dhariwal, an alumnus of IIT Bombay, who won the popular Parents' Choice Award in the US after launching Madzzle.
His latest offering, Todzzle is a board game for kids as young as two that's set to hit stores across Mumbi, Delhi and Bangalore by early August. Designed as a magnetic, A4 size sheet that can be stuck to a refrigerator, it requires the child to place the right magnetic foam cut-out in the corresponding slot on the base sheet.
"Figures of birds, flowers and animals are indicated in the form of outlines. This allows the child an opportunity to learn about shapes and identify flaura and fauna," he explains. The game, which also glows in the dark, comes with a Mommy Tracker which is a list of learning questions for the child, and a storybook with an original story about the game and its characters. Todzzle is the team's second creation after they managed to raise one million dollars from investors including Flipkart founders Sachin and Binny Bansal.
