Goyal meets key global trade leaders, reviews India-EU FTA at MC14

Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal met key global trade leaders on the sidelines of the 14th Ministerial Conference (MC14) of the World Trade Organisation (WTO) in Cameroon, reviewing progress on trade agreements and highlighting India’s stand on WTO reforms.
During the conference, Goyal met Maros Sefcovic, European Commissioner for Trade and Economic Security, to discuss the ongoing India-EU Free Trade Agreement (FTA). Both leaders reviewed progress on the FTA, which was announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen in January 2026 in New Delhi.
