Seasoned actress Chhaya Kadam, who is best known for her roles as Kancham Kombdi in ‘Madgaon Express’ and Manju Mai in `Laapataa Ladies` made her debut at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival. For those unversed, her Malayalam film `All We Imagine As Light` directed by Payal Kapadia is the first Indian movie in the main segment (Palme d`Or) of Cannes. The last was ‘Swaham’ which was released in 1994. 

Chhaya took to Instagram and shared pictures of her look at the French Riviera. She revealed in the caption that she always dreamt of taking her mother on a flight but couldn’t do so while she was alive but metaphorically did it by wearing her saree and the Maharashtrian nath as her look for Cannes.
