Social media influencer Orhan Awatramani, popularly known as Orry, has sought time in response to the summons issued to him by the Mumbai Police in connection with a Rs 252-crore drug case. He has been called in for questioning by the investigating authorities. Orry’s lawyer submitted a letter to the police stating that he is currently unavailable and will be able to appear only after November 25.
The Mumbai Police is reportedly considering his request and has not yet issued a second summons. Dubai-based drug kingpin Salim Suhail Shaikh has allegedly claimed that he organised multiple drug-laced parties attended by the social media influencer. A senior Mumbai Police officer on Wednesday confirmed that Orry has been directed to appear before the ANC’s Ghatkopar Unit at 10 am on Thursday.
