Well-known rapper Muhammad Bilal Shaikh, aka Emiway Bantai, has received a death threat along with a ransom demand of Rs 1 crore. The threat message was reportedly sent by a man identified as Goldy Brar, a Canada-based close associate of imprisoned gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. The message also mentioned the name of US-based Rohit Godara, who is also closely associated with Bishnoi.

Emiway Bantai receives death threat

The message was sent to a phone number registered with Shaikh`s company, Bantai Records, on May 25. Following the threat, the rapper filed a complaint at the NRI Coastal Police Station in Nerul on Tuesday. The complaint was lodged by Shaikh’s employee, who first spotted the message. According to reports, the threat read:

“I am gangster Goldy Brar. Your singer has 24 hours. I want Rs 1 crore or else I will kill him.”
