With our nation facing the toughest time because of the second wave of Covid-19, the world needs help more than ever before. Actor Abhishek Banerjee, who celebrated his birthday on Wednesday, May 5, pledged to donate to Covid-19 relief and healthcare initiatives.
As the only child in his family, the actor said his birthdays used to be a day of celebration but with the surge in COVID-19 cases, it will be spent in helping as many people as possible. "Last year was very difficult because when the lockdown was announced, it was new for all of us. We had not seen anything like this. It was quite depressing and grim. Now it seems, this is how it is. And when everything is falling apart around you, you don`t know how to celebrate your birthday," he told PTI.
