Actor Akshay Kumar recently spoke about the film’s success, what it means for the industry, and how he feels about not being part of the Ranveer Singh-led project.

Akshay Kumar praised the Ranveer Singh-starrer while speaking at the India Today Conclave Delhi 2026. Discussing changing cinematic trends, he said, “Take Dhurandhar, for example. It’s an action film with intense violence. It is great, and people have lapped it up. They have enjoyed it. A hero like Ranveer Singh takes on the angry young man image, which had faded for a while. Five to six years ago, I did social films and they worked well. Now it’s time for horror comedies — Stree worked so well. Everything keeps changing, and we don’t know what the audience will like next.”
