Anu Malik expects credits for Sandese Aate Hai remake in Border 2: 'You can't..'

Anu Malik reacted to the recreated Border 2 song Ghar Kab Aaoge, saying he expects proper credit as the original composer of Sandese Aate Hain. He praised singers Sonu Nigam, Arijit Singh, Vishal Mishra and Diljit Dosanjh, and said Border 2 cannot exist without the iconic song and its original creators

Earlier this week, the producers of Border 2 released a preview for Ghar Kab Aaoge, a redux of the classic song Sandese Aate Hain from Border. Mithoon remade the song and added words from Manoj Muntashir. Javed Akhtar wrote the original song, while Anu Malik scored it. According to the composer, he hopes his name will appear in the credits for the new version as well.

Anu Malik expects due credit

While talking to PTI, Anu Malik opened up about Ghar Ka Aaoge, he said, “I believe the song is recreated. I’m not a part of it. I’m sure they will give my name to it as I’ve created the song. They should because people know about our contribution, they can`t get away. They can`t make Border 2 without Sandese Aate Hai... Both Anu Malik and Javed Akhtar are up there (in their contribution), so they will have to put our name somewhere.”
