Speaking about how her doggo entered her life Soundarya said, "I call him Nannu a common name in households in India, it's my nickname as well. I didn't want to give him a dog but a human name. My father came up with cute names like laddoo and I rejected them. He was just 5-months-old when I entered the Bigg Boss house. I had initially adopted his brother who passed away within few days because of some ailment. I cried and howled so much that my dog breeder got Nannu to me. From the time he entered my life things completely changed, he's my lucky charm."
Speaking about how her pet and she adjusted to being away from each other when she was in the Bigg Boss house, Soundarya said, "Initially it was very difficult. Archana (Gautam) kept the picture I had carried of him on her table."
Opening up about Nannu's routine the actress said, "He wakes me up at 5.30 am, as it is I'm an early bird. He has to go down to play. It's so difficult for me because I get late giving interviews daily. By the time I sleep it's 1.30 or 2am. I ensure he travels with me for interviews because I'm resuming my shoots and again won't be with him."
