Bollywood actress Celina Jaitly had filed a writ petition before the Delhi High Court, seeking directions to the Government of India to take appropriate diplomatic and consular steps regarding the detention of her brother, Major (Retd.) Vikrant Kumar Jaitly, a former officer of the Indian Army currently in the United Arab Emirates. He has been detained in the country since September 2024.
On Monday, the court dismissed the petition, in which the actress had also sought assistance to meet her brother after he refused to contact her. Reacting to the development, Jaitly penned a note on Instagram.
