Aditya Dhar's multi-starrer Dhurandhar crushed records when it released in December 2025. The recently released sequel, Dhurandhar: The Revenge, is following suit and seems to be in no mood to slow down. After a ground-breaking opening day that saw the sequel collect a massive opening of Rs 100 crore in India. Post that the film did slow down a bit on Friday, but it was a negligible dip, resulting in little to no effect.

Dhurandhar 2 released worldwide on Thursday, March 19, with paid previews starting on Wednesday. The paid previews turned out to be the largest in Indian cinema history. The film earned Rs 145 crore net on its opening day. The film enjoyed a festival release in India with holidays for Ugadi and Gudi Padwa in many parts of the country.
