The upcoming release of Dhurandhar faces new legal trouble as Pakistani cop Chaudhary Aslam’s widow warns of action over his alleged negative portrayal in the film. She has objected to a trailer dialogue she finds disrespectful and says she will act if the movie misrepresents her late husband

Still from Dhurandhar
Aditya Dhar`s directorial Dhurandhar is set to hit the big screens in a week and is looking at fresh legal troubles. After Major Mohit Sharma`s family went to the court to stay the release of the film, a Pakistani cop`s widow has objected to the film. The widow of Chaudhary Aslam, a Pakistani police officer who became famous as an encounter specialist and for his bravery against terror and criminal gangs in Karachi, has threatened to take legal action if her husband is falsely and negatively portrayed in the upcoming release.
Headlined by Ranveer Singh and directed by Aditya Dhar, the movie is a high-stakes espionage thriller. The film`s official trailer, which was released earlier this month, offers a glimpse into a story set in Karachi`s notorious Lyari neighbourhood, once dominated by two rival criminal gangs.
